Therapeutic Bodywork

Therapeutic Bodywork & Recovery: More Than Massage

Therapeutic Bodywork is designed for clients seeking targeted support for pain, restricted movement, injury recovery, chronic tension, nervous system regulation, and overall physical function.

Rather than focusing on a specific massage style, these sessions focus on identifying what's contributing to discomfort and creating a personalized treatment plan to help you move and feel better.

  • Neurodivergent Clients

At Creekside Spa’s Health & Wellness Studio, we recognize that neurodivergence touches the whole family, and we’re proud to offer support from a therapist who is also neurodivergent.

Richard Hartis brings both personal understanding and professional expertise to his work, using a unique blend of techniques he calls Rhythm & Roll to create a safe space for children, teens, and adults to experience the benefits of therapeutic massage.

For those who struggle with anxiety, sensory overwhelm, or restlessness, Rhythm & Roll massage provides a grounding reset that helps them feel more calm, focused, and at ease in their own bodies.

For parents and caretakers, they often find that massage is more than self-care - it’s a way to release tension, restore patience, and return to their families with renewed energy.

Even siblings benefit from this nervous system support, gaining relief from the stress that comes with sharing the journey. When each member of the family has the opportunity to recharge, everyone thrives.

Deep Tissue Massage

Rather than a full-body massage, this technique focuses on reaching the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues to relieve tension, reduce pain, and improve mobility. It’s particularly effective for addressing chronic pain, muscle stiffness, and specific problem areas.

Sports Massage

This specialized form of targeted massage therapy (not full-body) is tailored to the needs of athletes and physically active individuals. It is designed to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery by addressing the specific demands of an active lifestyle. Sports massage can be used before, during, or after physical activity, depending on the goal.

Thai Yoga Table Massage

Using a combination of traditional Thai massage techniques and the comfort of a massage table, it blends passive stretching, joint mobilization, and acupressure, offering a deeply relaxing and therapeutic experience. Unlike traditional Thai massage, which is usually performed on the floor with the recipient fully clothed, Thai Yoga Table Massage takes place on a massage table, allowing the therapist to use their bodyweight and leverage to perform a series of gentle stretches and pressure techniques.

Therapeutic Massage

This form of massage aims to assist with recovery from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Rather than full-body massage, It focuses on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving mobility by targeting the underlying causes of dysfunction in the affected muscles, joints, and connective tissues..
